Experiments
in black and white graphic lines based on the photographs of plants I have
photographed. Thorny vines twisting and
turning like the Wandering Jew plant that bows and reaches for the light. My graphic lines twist and bend to form
abstract shapes.

Glass Abstracts
Recently I chose to photograph two martini
glasses emphasizing the lines and circles of these glasses created by a single
sidelight. After looking at the images I decided to illustrate these
images as graphical abstracts placing each graphic next to the photographic
image representing it.

LANDSCAPES
Landscape
photography is not a particular passion of mine-however, I do find myself drawn
to the space, lines and man made disturbances within a landscape. I have chosen to represent some of my
landscape images as graphical interpretations of the lines and shapes on a two
dimensional white space. My photography
has always been about lines, shapes and the light that defines the form of my
images.

Circles within Circles
The circle
–is a center point of focus. It
symbolically is infinity, the universe –the all. Photographers have used the circle as a means
of containing subject matter – or a means of focusing the viewer’s attention on
a given subject by placing it within or on the edge of a circle. From my photographs I attempt to graphically
build symbolic circles – circles within circles and lines that break this
universe.

STAIR GRAPHIC INTERPRETATIONS
I recently shot a number of
images in an old abandoned garage of stairwells and the light falling on them
creating linear compositions. I later
used these images to create a graphic interpretation of the lines that made up
these images that are featured on the recent photo blog “Stairs” on http://theexit270.blogspot.com
